Although not currently in effect, I ran a year long program timing new business ventures to the cycles of the moon called Building a Sacred Business.  Engaging a monthly group at the time of the new moon, we would do ceremony, setting appropriate intentions for their business.  I would analyze each person’s transits or position of the planets in the night sky currently, in comparison with their natal chart.  This was highly effective in helping to get their business ventures off the ground and flourishing.

Ontology, the philosophical study of being, becomes the focus of this coaching method – hence the name, Ontological Coaching. But what does it entail, and more importantly, who stands to benefit from it? 

Ontological coaching, much like peeling back the layers of an onion, delves deeper into our underlying ways of being, observing, and interacting with the world. It doesn’t merely look at how we can change our actions or behaviors on the surface; it seeks to understand and transform the very core of our outlook – our way of being.

In Conclusion

I consider myself an ontological coach as the question of being is forefront in my mind when I’m helping my clients.  In spite of not being an expert in any particular area of coaching, I don’t consider myself an expert with people.  I find that no matter what you’re trying to achieve in your life, at the core are the same challenges that every human faces, overcoming fear, finding the best mindset, bringing clarity to confusion, developing a strategy, overcoming inertia, and determining the best and most affective direction to channel one’s efforts.
